Soul Of Man sunt Justin Rushmore si Jem Panufnik, cei doi fiind responsabili pentru infiintarea celebrului label Finger Lickin', 'the most influential breaks label around', cum il caracteriza Pete Tong in emisiunea Essential Mix. Cu o istorie de peste 20 de ani in muzica, cei doi dau dovada de o maturitate in sunet si o selectie geniala a pieselor, ceea ce face acturile Soul Of Man speciale fiind seturile lor eclectice, care pastreaza o amprenta inconfundabila: funkiness.

In anul 1997 a fost lansat primul release marca Soul Of Man, si acesta era doar inceputul. Un an mai tarziu, lua fiinta Finger Lickin', in tot acest timp labelul ajungand un adevarat brand international si un 'must have' in geanta oricarui DJ. Cifrele vorbesc de la sine: peste un sfert de milion de vinyl-uri vandute, peste 150.000 de albume si recentul release cu numarul 100. De asemenea, brandul Finger Lickin' este castigator al premiului 'Best Label' la absolut fiecare editie Breakspoll - International Breakbeat Awards, de la infiintarea acestora in 2003, precum si al multor alte categorii, cum ar fi 'Best Producer', 'Best Album', 'Best DJ' si 'Best Remix'.

10 ani de Finger Lickin'. Istoria se scrie acum si la Bucuresti si, unde altundeva, daca nu in locul care si-a pus poate cel mai mult amprenta asupra scenei de muzica electronica din
capitala si, de ce nu, din tara. Clubul clasat pe locul 4 mondial in topul cluburilor cu cel mai bun vibe si cea mai grozava atmosfera conform Resident Advisor.

Anul acesta sarbatorim Craciunul pe 27 decembrie. Luna cadourilor ne aduce una din cele mai placute surprize ale sfarsitului de an. In luna in care Studio Martin aniverseaza al 15-lea an din existenta sa, vino sa sarbatorim 10 ani de breakbeat, 10 ani de funk, 10 ani de muzica, 10 ani de Finger Lickin', alaturi de Soul Of Man in premiera in Romania, Gojira, D-Laid si Tomasan, sambata, 27 decembrie 2008, in Club Studio Martin, din Bucuresti.

Accesul persoanelor sub 18 ani strict interzis.
Evenimentul va incepe la ora 23:00.
Intrarea este de 20 RON pana in ora 1:00, 30 RON dupa ora 1:00.

Who is The One who could remix and release your track?

Calling all producers! One of the fasting-rising stars of the electro-house scene is offering to remix and release one of your tracks. But who is The One who could help start your production career with a bang?

He has sold hundreds of thousands of records in his homeland, and his productions have caught the ears of Annie Mac, Zane Lowe and Norman Cook. He has shared the decks with the likes of 2manydjs and Switch, and with remixes already under his belt for Boys Noize, Snow Patrol and Felix Da Housecat, one lucky winner will be amongst highly esteemed company!

Head to www.whoistheone.co.uk to discover who is The One who could remix and release your track, and to submit your entry. You have until 17th December to upload your track, after which the public will rate the entries – voting will close on 7th January.

The One and his A&R acolytes at leading UK independent label Southern Fried Records will then listen to the Top 10 rated tracks, and pick a favourite. The winning track will then receive a synth-trashing remix from The One, with both versions being released by Southern Fried.

Audio Bullys - Sunday Night Fever Chronicles Episode One - Dope Fiend

A couple of weeks ago I have "teased" you with a "mistery track" entitled DOPE FIEND.
Well, if you haven't guessed it by now, I have to tell you the track is a sneak preview of the forthcoming Audio Bullys album.

Ce inseamna de fapt Tomasounds si la ce se refera? Pana acum ati avut de ales intre a iesi in oras pe ritmuri de Downtown Funk, a gandit Out Of The Box si v-ati dedublat preferintele muzicale cu Deeper Indigo.

Tomasounds este episodul urmator. „Manual" de creatie a unui stil sau, mai simplu: „A Sound is Born". A se citi „pagina cu pagina".

De ce Tomasounds in doua parti? Pentru ca exista party si meditation, pentru ca muzica se danseaza dar se si asimileaza, sound-ul se simte dar se si analizeaza, pentru ca diferenta de bpm conteaza, pentru ca exista breakbeat dar si dubstep, Stanton Warriors dar si 2562, Fingerlickin' dar si DubKraft si in special pentru ca toate elementele enumerate mai sus sunt la fel de importante si pentru ca ele coexista.

Pentru piesa TRG remixata de Martyn, care i-a schimbat perspectivele doamnei Mary Anne Hobbs. Fara indoiala pentru Shackleton – New Dawn. Pentru ca Switch a remixat The Chemical Brothers. Pentru ca alura technoida a dubstep-ului se intelege perfect cu Simian Mobile Disco. Pentru ca Scuba – Hard Boiled va obliga sa apasati repeat.
De ce Tomasounds? Pentru ca exista fix 26 de argumente pentru a apasa Play! Pentru Dubstep.ro, Breakbeat.ro, Drumandbass.ro, Feeder, Yazee, Beatfactor si Nights.ro. Pentru un artwork cel putin good-looking si evident, pentru ca exista 3 elemente de baza care il definesc: sound, feeling si vibe.
